Although I knew how important it was to be thankful, I ONLY learned a few years ago the significance of it! I had learned on a Dani Johnson call to write out 100 things that you are thankful for! At first I thought I couldn't find two (especially when you are in a dark season of life). I challenged myself and when I came to 100 things I REALIZED THAT I could keep on going! I learned a great lesson that day and it was the beginning of changing my life too! So if you are feeling gloom, discouraged, hopeless, I challenge you too to start writing out 100 things that you are thankful for and look at them everyday for a while. It will change your life.
Let's start! What are you thankful for?
I am thankful for our first grandchild. He is healthy and what a great bundle of joy! I am so blessed!

Nice post....
I'm most definitely thankful for my husband. He truly is my best friend. He gives me unconditional love and support. He's my #1 fan and always makes me feel loved and liked.
Hands down, that's what I'm most thankful for.

I'm thankful I had 32 1/2 years with my Gram.

Wow Christene, she had to be a SPECIAL lady! That is the kind of Grandma I want to be! Thanks for that!

I'm thankful that after a very exhausting day of dealing with an aging mother with multiple health problems and a 16 yr old dramatic teenage boy with a toothache, that I get to go to bed and just sleep for 7 hours or so!

I am so beyond thankful for my life. I thank God for my many, many, many blessings daily.
One of the biggest blessings, I've seen firsthand children die from malnutrition and diseases so easily prevented here with vaccines. I am thankful that I am a mother who does not need to live with that fear daily.
I am also thankful for Romans 8:28. My personal promise from God ![]()

I'm grateful to alive and well
The gift of life makes me smile when I am upset. I'm thankful that I live in America the land of the free. I am very thankful for my wonderful fiance - my best friend - my gift from God.

What a lovely topic. I do think it's important to give thanks each and every day. My husband and I share this belief and no matter how stressful our daily lives can be, taking the time to be thankful for all that we have, is important. I am so thankful for my husband, my children, and my Mother. I just recently lost my stepfather, a man who stepped in and was a dad to me, after my father died. When we lose someone it's an important reminder to appreciate every day that we can share with our loved ones.
Hugs to you, Christene, I hear ya.

Thanks to you, Claudette! I made my list (yesssss, I made a lens out of it), and it sure was fun and felt good. I won't post a link here, because this is the "Chatter Box," but suffice it to say, even if it doesn't get much traffic from anyone but me, it definitely gave me an attitude adjustment and I'll have it to go back to (and play with). I may need to do a second one for 101 through 200. ![]()

I hate how the forum gestapo has made it so a conversation cannot flow. I think if a link meaningfully contributes to a conversation it is not only allowed but welcomed.

I was gonna say I'm grateful my right eye is still hanging in there.
However, I see consternation from the ranks.
For what it's worth. you will not receive any more guff from this "Gestapo" officer... take care.

On that note, I'd like to add Ten Things One Atheist Is Thankful For.

Well, thank ya. I just hope I didn't offend anybody but outwardly saying I wasn't going to include a link. I didn't mean to if so.
But, really, this was a great inspiration--this thread. I've found lots of inspiration here, not only for new lenses but other ideas, in the Chatter Box.

Every Thanksgiving, our family has made it a traditional to go around the supper table saying what each one of us is thankful for, this is a reminder that we should do the same for the other 364 days of the year:). Great topic! I should probably wear a sign with this message the next time an irate passenger yells at me because his flight is cancelled due to bad weather!

Good one!
Well, tonight I'm grateful that when the BBQ grill blew up and singed my husband's eyelashes, eyebrows, hair on head and arms that he wasn't also burned.
It has been quite a week!

I am thankful to God that I have got a wonderful father. I can proudly say my father is the best. And now fathers day is coming on June 21. This is a golden opportunity to express my love to my father by all possible means I can do.

I am thankful that even in the rain there is joy all around us! It's the little things in life that gives us joy. I am thankful that our grown up kids keep closely in touch!

No, there's no gestapo at work here (there never really was). That's just me being a big dope. Sorry, thefuffanutta. I'll get it right next time.

What is the Gestapo?
