How many lenses do you have made already?

How many do you need to make by September 30th to be considered for Giant Squid Status?

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread and everyone who keeps track of their progress here on this thread AND achieves their goal of becoming a Giant Squid Lensmaster on September 30th will be rewarded with a featured spot for one of their lenses (your choice) at the Giant Squid Community Showcase!

Writing your goals down goes a long way towards helping you achieve them!

ooh, ooh, me, me! I'm working on it. I'm at 32 right now, will be at 33 before I go to bed tonight. I plan to make 2 a day until I get there. That's major for me, because it usually takes at least a full day for me to make a lens.

I've found that if I do an outline "off-squid" I can put together the lens MUCH more quickly. There's something about just jumping in and choosing a bunch of modules, then trying to figure out what to do....that kind of paralyzes me. So Notepad is saving the day.

Hi!

I have 45 lenses toward my goal of 50 by September 30. I'm trying to do at least one a day and fixing up some earlier ones too. My mentor, Thomas has been incredibly helpful and I have learned so much!

I have 25 featured lenses, 3 WIP and I have 22 to go. I don't think I'll make this next round.

I made it to be a Giant through the encouragement of a contest very similar to this one. That's why I started it.

Well, I guess I need to make a goal now, hmmmm?

I'm going to try to put the spiffty dust on 2 lenses a day. As it's already late (and I had 2 that have been mocking me as WIP so I finally published them today) I'll start tomorrow. I'll go work on my Halle Berry lens and my Chanukah Toys one since they're both in pretty bad shape still.

Somebody just needs to kick me in the rear if I fall behind. I tend to be a wee bit ADDish if you know what I.

Wait, I want pie.

We need a contest for Squids already Giant Squids. Like a 200ish (300, 400, 500) lens contest, or something like that!

SemperFidelis: Oh no you don't. I got double dog dared before by PrettyBullet and ended up with a hundred lenses (and I think she's responsible for at least some of my groups too!).

Hi everybody! I have 33 published lenses. I also have 25 work in progress lenses. I'm hoping to be able to achieve Giant Squid status by the 30th.

Grabbing some of that "spiffy dust" -- I have 52 lenses, now going through one at a time, cleaning up as I go, and hopefully improving! whew! I did make a spreadsheet today - will be happy to send to anybody who e-mails me. You might even want to change the headers - this one is set up to keep track of the things I am trying to do -squidpoint, lensroll, squoogle, etc, adding counters, checking module headings, etc...........25 per page, makes it easier for me anyway.

Yeah, I hope to make giant squid by the 30th. I currently have 40 lens. Today, I been updating some of my older ones. I plan on having at least one lens done tonight before I go to bed so i'll be up to 41. My goal is 60 or 70 so I have room to work with. It won't be hard to do that as I been cutting down my lenses into smaller lenses and linking them together.

You are so organized and efficient! I went through my whole shebang tonight and labeled which ones are good, which ones need the spiffy dust, and which ones are stuck the way they are (like lyrics lenses).

I must say, I've got a few that I'm really proud of...and a few that are just really, really, really sucky-lame.

me, too! some I am very proud of and make me smile. some I look at and wonder why I did that and how on earth to make it better! spiffy dust needs to have a little magic in it, I think! where is Tinkerbell when I need her?
