Good points.   However when I see someone new in the Introduction section I usually click on their profile and take a look at their lenses anyhow, just to see what they are interested in, and I'm always looking for some new and unique lenses.

You don't always have to directly promote yourself to get lens traffic.

Lol... this definitely sounds familiar. I have often run into my office to scribble down an idea before I even go down to breakfast. One idea simply triggers another one. I don't think that there is a topic on Squidoo that hasn't been written about... twice!

Hi, I'm James and I live in the UK.
I joined in early April although my profile says "Registered: 01/01/1970"
I'd heard people say this is addictive and I think they could be right.  I don't think a day has gone by when I  haven't been here looking to improve a lens or create a new one.

Doh.  I shouldn't have put this as a reply should I.  How do I delete this post?

I joined some monthes ago on Squidoo and I do not know, why I did not find the forum earlier...

Now I'm here and, of course, like to introduce myself. I'm grateful for the tips here and I hope everyone would excuse my not perfect English - I'm from Germany... Thanks a lot for your understanding.

I in this moment saw, that my profile says, I were registered since 1969... Can anybody say me, where I can change it? In setting my profile I could not find a possibility to change this date. Thank you!

Hello. I am new, too! I joined Squidoo about a year ago. It wasn't until recently I started to make the time and focus on making my first len and really explore the site. I made and published my 1st lens several weeks ago. Just getting around to introduce myself. I appreciate the tips and support the Squidoo community provides to it's members. Thank You.
