Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

I have made $750 a week on adsense clicks on one site I have...but it took years to get there.

Although establishing a website is good I think you will have better luck in the SHORT TERM if you go with services... for instance...have someone hire you to write content, sell lenses, that sort of thing.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

Thanks!  That is just as I suspected.  I've seen a lot of web content lately claiming you can make $$ online in a matter of days.  One site in particulary claimed that you can make "$1000 in a week online" (hence the thread topic).  Sounded bogus to me.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

I think potpieglrl and a few other lensmasters do actually make that kind of money. But they've worked hard, treat this as a full-time job, and have had to learn by trial and error what works and what doesn't. Not everyone can do what they do.

From what I gather of Potpiegirl's technique, she's not only effective at SEO and affiliate marketing, she's got a system for looking for products in affiliate marketing programs that pay $25 a sale. She doesn't waste time on money-making techniques that don't earn a lot per sale. And then she puts a LOT of time, skill and effort into getting customers who are likely to buy those products to her lenses.

I don't know that much about it though. You might check her blog. There are other lensmasters who are doing it too, but most of them are not sharing their techniques as part of their strategy. I haven't bought her book, but she gives sound, solid advice on her blog that really does make sense, so in her case, I would trsut that her e-book has valuable tips and could work.

She doesn't guarantee you're gonna make a thousand dollars a week, though. She just says it's a strategy that can work for making a reasonable amount of money online.

I do have potpiegirls book and it was 10 times worth the price...it really does give really useful and effective tools for anyone who is trying to get front page search results on google...which I think includes all of us, no matter if we do affiliate marketing or not...the tools she teaches can be used for a broad range of online promotion and success smile

that's my little book review smile

Not quite at $1,000 in a week.  I did earn $800/week (3,200 for the month) in April from my online work.  It was my best month to date.  BUT,  It did not happen overnight.  I have been working at this for 2 1/2 years!

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

I am really skeptical when I see the word "clickbank". I realize most of them uses the same format, almost the same style in writing, same irritating "pop right in your face" box to get your email address style of marketing. Does that really make money?

I have read a book (a real physical book), claiming that you can be a millionaire just by following step by step on what they do. It is the same style! I rolled my eyes when it said that the "pop right in your face" box is very efficient to get someone to sign up your newsletter. Is that true? How come I get quickly turn off when it pop right in my face? Well, I did find some good information in that book, by I kept rolling my eyes at most of the stuffs that I read. Maybe that is the reason why I am not rich yet. Can someone enlighten me please.

Oh yes, I am also turn off by websites that look like this. http://www.buymystupidebook.com (Not this one actually, LOL!) I cannot get myself to read to the bottom of their page. I will lost interest half way and surf elsewhere. Am I the only weird one around?

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

I think those are called arbitrary ads and I suppose it depends on what you are doing. If I want to download, say, an application that I will get for free and won't find elsewhere, then maybe I will fill out their form. It does work well, if people really want to get to the next page.

No, you're not the only one.  If I see a pop up of any kind, I simply close the window without reading anything.

But how can you make a 1000/wk online?  Write an e-book "claiming" to know all the secrets on how to make a $1000/wk online and sell it on clickbank.  You don't actually need to know anything at all, just write in a bunch of jibberish that no one will understand any way.   big_smile

PS one thing I forgot, make sure you tell everyone not to buy these kinds of e-books cause it's a scam, except they should buy yours of course cause you do all the secrets.

I don't think that's entirely fair. I've bought eBooks that had a lot of helpful information. You just have to seperate the wheat from the chafe at clickbank, just like any other place. There's lots of trashy nonsense books at the bookstore too. They use the marketing sites because they work. Research proves it. A lot of them probably don't like using it either, but if it increases their sales, they're probably going to resort to it. After all, they didn't write the eBook for nothing. They have a lot of money tied up in the creation of the eBook, and let's face it, they want it to sell and make money. That doesn't mean the eBook isn't any good. It just means they use a marketing technique that you don't like, but has been proven to improve book sales. Also, some marketers have two websites. One with those pop up windows and sales copy, and one with info. Believe me, if the info site sold better, you'd see more of them.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

If you can think of it, then maybe it's possible. I'ts just a matter of goal setting and follow it strictly. You can probably even make more than 10K in a week. I'm not there yet, but someday I will.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

Adsense is on many sites, and she was talking about another site.
Squidoo has a lot of other ways to make money besides adsense-- the Amazon, eBay, Cafepress modules, eg., plus most of those making good money here are supplementing that with third party affiliate marketing programs, selling stuff using Squidoo lenses, but getting paid by other folks to sell that stuff.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

I believe it's possible to make $1000 with blogging in a week because I have done this. The problem is that it takes quite a period of time to build up to this level (and no doubt this is the same with Squidoo) and most bloggers give up too early.  Blogging isn't an overnight success thing - well it wasn't in my case and took over two years to develop things to a decent level.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

Of course it is possible to make that kind of money online. It's like losing weight, it takes time, patience and being focused on your goals, and  not letting the obstacles along the way deter you from achieving what you set out to do. Many people still are looking to make a quick buck without putting much effort into it and this is why most give up before long.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

I regularly pull in $1K+ per week with my online writing. But like others have said, there's no magic bullet - it takes work, and lots of it I must add. Web writing is my career and I know it sounds strange in a thread where one wonders if it's even possible, but I feel that the amount I earn is quite modest for the effort put in.

In my case, I have regular clients and submit my work for sale on a couple of different Web content writing sites. I don't do adsense/blogging etc. I'm the world's worst blogger actually. I've been exploring revenue sharing work but have found that I do much better financially writing for others. So far, all of my success has been centered on write-for-hire stuff.

How to do it? That is the question (or is it?). We all have our own talents, niches, preferences, biases, work habits, etc. What works for me hasn't worked for some of my good friends and equally talented (or even better) writers. LIkewise, I'm not interested in actively pursuing affiliate marketing so I'm not going to be as successful at that as others. What are your interests? What are you good at? What are you willing to get even better at? What type of time do you have to devote to it? Those are the real questions.

Nicely said. I ghostwrite for others and I've made close to a $1000 in one day. That's not the norm (more because I like my free time more than I like to work) but it's possible.

Re: How Can You Make $1000 in a week online?

I highly recommend the book, The Four Hour Work Week. Timothy Ferris takes a unique look at marketing products that can become "automatic" in sales. He spends about 2-3 months developing them and getting the sales going then automates the sales through a variety of techniques. In a sense this is what PotPieGirl does as well who is every bit as genius as Ferris. But they have both spent tons of time refining their systems and their skills.
