Yep, rules. Read 'em. Abide by 'em. Or your sea creature powers may be revoked. Temporarily, or for good.

1. New to the lounge? Get started here. Learn which category to post your note in, and create a forum signature.
2. Spam: just don't do it. Thou also shalt not fill the forums with multiple threads on the same topic, sockpuppet, or link to irrelevant and non-Squidoo sites (includes signatures).
3. Thou shalt not flame, harass, denigrate, spam, malign, or otherwise finger-point and name-call at ANYONE. This one's a biggy. This too can get you banned.
4. Squidstaff love interacting with smart front-line people, so they stop by the forums from time to time to hear your ideas and share updates. However, this isn't the place to post bugs or solicit admin action. Please send those requests through our feedback link.
5. The SquidU forum is a place for users to interact, to share ideas and inspiration (and yes, gripes... maybe another lensmaster can help) and have fun with their lenses. Try searching for an answer or visiting The Answer Deck.

This made me smile today.....

OK, we have had a few comments about the Forum not being quite so chatty of late and yep, people are worried about various things, so I thought I would start this thread so you can tell everyone about something that made you smile today.

This made me smile today.......

I got a lovely email this morning from a new Lensmaster who I had informed that his lens was not ready to be accepted into one of my Groups. I had sent him some feedback and held my breath as to how it would be recieved.

The Lensmaster was very positive in his response and has taken on board what I said with a view to making some of the changes and additions I suggested.

Phew!

big_smile big_smile

So what has made YOU smile today?

Re: This made me smile today.....

I laughed when I checked my Money Saving Tips group this morning and saw that apparently Megan Casey is now the group master and a twice a member of my group.  Her picture appears above rwoman's name and above my name in the featured lensmasters and in my spot as group master.  It makes me chuckle.

Re: This made me smile today.....

Finding out that my oldest son (age 12) who is staying over at his grandparent's right now, decided to cut his own hair last night!  At first I was agast, but now I find it funny.  I thought he was WAAAAAAY passed that stage.  He has to go for a real hair cut later today. lol

Re: This made me smile today.....

I've been able to sit up in a chair and work on Squidoo and other things all day without getting a sick headache.  I think I'm well!  Hooray!  Oh, and the warm spring type day and blooming flowers made me smile, too.

Re: This made me smile today.....

As it does almost every day, the thing that made me smile first was hubby grabbing me and planting a big smooch on me while we were getting ready to go.  I never know when he'll strike!

The second thing was a comment on my music blog from the second member of a band who have both responded to what amounted to a scolding and a relatively negative review with grace and enthusiasm.  It made me feel good not only about my blogging but about people in general.  It's been a nice day, so far, except for the blizzard.

Re: This made me smile today.....

Perhaps we should have a forum rule - if you want to post a negative (and yep, its OK, we all need to let off steam or look for reassurance sometimes) then you have to come over here and post a positive comment as well - you will probably feel better for doing both!

So what made me big_smile today - well, I triggered the Spambait filter again! Why was I smiling? Well it is a Topical lens and is not getting any traffic (its about Autumn, so it is in hibernation!) At least if it gets hand reviewed it will get a visit - ha ha!

These posts are great keep big_smile and keep them coming.

I smile every time I learn something new on Squidoo (which is pretty much every day), like FINALLY  figuring out how to use the smiley faces!!  Here, let me practice:

I found out how to make accent marks work on Squidoo in places they usually didn't. Considering all the Gaelic words on some of my Celtic Music lenses, that makes a real difference. smile

Re: This made me smile today.....

I've been smiling a lot lately because of the fact that old high school classmates I've "run into" on Facebook have been really NICE. Wow, what a change 22 years has made! I'm, like, popular now! Woo-hoooooo!
