Yep, rules. Read 'em. Abide by 'em. Or your sea creature powers may be revoked. Temporarily, or for good.

2. Spam: just don't do it. Thou also shalt not fill the forums with multiple threads on the same topic or sockpuppet.
3. Thou shalt not flame, harass, denigrate, spam, malign, or otherwise finger-point and name-call at ANYONE. This one's a biggy. This too can get you banned.
4. Squidstaff love interacting with smart front-line people, so they stop by the forums from time to time to hear your ideas and share updates. However, this isn't the place to post bugs or solicit admin action. Please send those requests through our feedback link.
5. The SquidU forum is a place for users to interact, to share ideas and inspiration (and yes, gripes... maybe another lensmaster can help) and have fun with their lenses. Try searching for an answer or visiting The Answer Deck.
So why is my lens unique compared with all the other lenses out there? I'm tracking how using the different aspects of the Squidoo community affects my lens rank. Let me know how it looks or just come check out the progress of the lens at www.squidoo.com/makeatop100lens
So far I've submitted to groups, Lensroll, and this week SquidU...I'll be doing something new every week, if you have a great idea, please let me know.
Thanks!

x3xsolxdierx3x, thanks for the great comments. I tried to make the lens more interesting with trying one of the many techniques in the how to pages, and then watching the effects on lensrank over the week. So far, placing it on Squidu has done the most for the lens. ofp.

Well, I'll divide my critique into 2 parts here -
Visually - Well, score is very poor on this, most modules have no image, which is missing a trick as far as SEO stands. Also you could use some html or css tricks to make your content stand out a bit.
content - To be honest, I felt you were trying to con visitors by the use of the title which implies you will tell visitors how to make a top100 lens, when in fact you offer very little advice on this. You also state that making a lens about squidoo is a good plan for getting to the top 100, this I see as quite flawed as there are huge numbers of lenses about squidoo and only a small percent of them make it to the top100.
I have to question the wisdom of making a lens on a subject that you know little about or at least can not demonstrate you have knowledge of. What works on squidoo is people sharing their expertise on subjects they are knowledgeable or even passionate about.

Thanks for the honest feedback.
The premise is a lens around lensmaking is a subject everyone on the U boards and on the site is part of, thus it should get the most visits because everyone wants to learn to do it better.
I don't agree with the premise that fancy fonts and styles keeps a reader intrigued, as you said good content and passion do. I'll definately add a module on passion though. That's a great point.
As far as the name, gets people intrigued to visit, if they learn something while they are there, all the better. I think it needs to be retitled, to something along the premise of "How Different Actions Impact Rank". Still working on that.

I'll be honest, I can't comment on your content because it wasn't attractive enough so I didn't read it, I just scanned through it.
Your title is misleading and instantly tarnishes your image, in my eyes. I probably would just click off any lens I saw by you in the future as I wouldn't waste my time reading through for content that isn't actually there.
I also think that you are taking on something which you know little about (have you ever made it to the top 2k, yet alone top 100?) and a challenging lensmasters with a lot more experience.

I think your inexperience on Squidoo shines through on this lens.
First of all, you have the Introduction contents turned on and then you added a Contents module. You really don't need both.
The next thing is I agree it's boring. I read the introduction and the text modules which really didn't contain any useful information and the other links modules can be found on all the other lenses about Squidoo.
This is something you should consider writing when you've actually got a top 100 lens and when you can make it into a real quality lens with useful information gained through experience.
