Re: The "Squidoo Charity Boosters" - double-whammy exposure for you!

Hi Chef,

I'd like to submit someone elses lens:
http://www.squidoo.com/world-hunger

Not sure do they also have to donate to your list of six?

And I changed my 10% donation from the Fund for Peace to Food for Everyone
on the following 2 of my lenses

http://www.squidoo.com/dharma17   and
http://www.squidoo.com/noel

Thanks for this idea!

Re: The "Squidoo Charity Boosters" - double-whammy exposure for you!

I've converted two lenses over and submitted one to Month of Hope and one to Month of Thanks. I'll be making some new lenses, too.

My lens for A Day of Hope: Favorite Children's Books

My lens for Heifer International: Make Melt and Pour Soap

Here are my two recommendations.
Get Me to the Gym: a great motivational lens for health/exercise makeover
Orca: a beautiful and educational lens about Killer Whales, aka Orcas

Re: The "Squidoo Charity Boosters" - double-whammy exposure for you!

I know, these little campaigns we come up with can be confusing, at times. I mean, what do I know, right? It's a lot of learning as-we-go.  lol

I've actually modified the original post (on top), this morning. Everyone can submit up to 4 of their own charity lenses, and one recommendation of someone else's lens (charity or not), because I can fill a "featured lenses" module with 5 links.

Just to make it even more confusing...make sure that you are submitting your lenses to the lens page for a Month of Thanks and a Month of Hope.

I think I've caught all of the ones for the Month of Thanks lens.

Great job! We're only 3 days into the challenge and we're up to 25 for Month of Thanks at last count.

Stazjia thank you for nominating the Knit One Save One Campaign. They need hats this month and we're probably doing the children's charity drive for next month.

looking for lenses other people donate to charity (that came out wrong) I found this very original: http://www.squidoo.com/customisingdolls_dollhair which donates to food for everyone.

I converted this lens to 'modest needs' but see that doesn't fit your criteria: http://www.squidoo.com/alzheimer-family

This one does however: http://www.squidoo.com/thank-you-lensmaster - donates to A Day of Hope

Re: The "Squidoo Charity Boosters" - double-whammy exposure for you!

Hey Chef. Thanks so much for this adjunct to the Month Of Thanks Challenge. I'm excited to be a part and try to raise some more money for Planet Gumbo. I haven't been able to see the designation on other lenses as to who they donate to. I want to add a couple of GypsyPirate's lenses but I'll wait to hear back from her so I can add hers and mine both at once.

Thanks again to you and comfortdoc for this fun challenge.

Re: The "Squidoo Charity Boosters" - double-whammy exposure for you!

Chef -
Great idea and great lens - of course, I'm definitely on board with the plan.

I'd like to nominate -
KimGiancaterino's Would You Trade Your Daughter For A Cow? Lens (http://www.squidoo.com/asante)

As for my lenses, the following donate 100% to Oxfam America -
http://www.squidoo.com/millenium-promis … ia-village
http://www.squidoo.com/family-christmas-traditions

The following donates 100% to A Day of Hope
http://www.squidoo.com/family-thanksgiving-traditions

Finally, this one donates 100% to Action Against Hunger
http://www.squidoo.com/coupons-for-charity-food-shelf

And I want to say again what a great idea this is - kudos to you!

Re: The "Squidoo Charity Boosters" - double-whammy exposure for you!

Here's my submissions, Chef. (This is contingent upon my correct understanding that lenses we submit by other lensmasters do not have to be donating to the corresponding charity.)

GypsyPirate's -
USMC silent Drill Platoon
My Ten Favorite National Parks

My lenses that donate directly to Planet Gumbo -
Partnership For Safety
The Sauce Boss

My Partnership For Safety can also be voted for the LOTD prize. (If people feel it is worthy.)
Great job, Chef. Thanks

Thanks for your contribution, Big Jim and everyone else. There's still plenty of room on the lens (and if it gets too full we'll make a second one).

Please submit to A Month of Thanks or A Month of Hope!

Hi

my recommendation would be a lens about Zen monk Thich Nhat Hanh.
and I have switched my very first own lens here on Squidoo to 100% Charity Action against hunger Monotype printmaking.

Re: The "Squidoo Charity Boosters" - double-whammy exposure for you!

I'd like to submit two that were added to a Month of Thanks today, neither are mine. I was so impressed with both.

From Mimi - a lens looking at Hunger in America - http://www.squidoo.com/hungryinamerica

From Mortira - a very humorous lens that you might actually learn something from, The Worst Lens Ever - http://www.squidoo.com/worstlensever

If you need one of mine, I'd say Everything Gumbo, for Planet Gumbo - http://www.squidoo.com/everything-gumbo
