I currently have 22 lenses on my dashboard with an affiliate sale showing:
4 in the top tier
5 in the second tier
13 in the third tier
This goes to show that you shouldn't give up just because your lensrank is not really high - that doesn't mean you won't get paid.
I made a sale on a lens ranked 97,088, and another ($9.59!) on a lens ranked 74,919.
It CAN happen!

That is very encouraging! Thanks for that piece of info. ![]()

Let's see, I've got 10 in the top tier with revenue on the dash (under 2,000), 7 with revenue in the second tier (between 2,000 and 10,000), and 7 in the third tier (between 10,000 and 100,000). Pretty cool.

It probably has to a lot do with the relevance of your subject to the sales links. I don't have much relevant to sell. I guess there could be some Google revenue through a LegalZoom ad.

I believe Gil said the cutoff for tier 3 is 85,000
I can't find the thread, but the day he mentioned it I added it to my Squidoo Payday Questions & Answers lens.

Not sure you are fully understanding the discussion, as it is what is showing as pending on the dashboard currently against the tier that the lens is in at the moment. ![]()
My dashboard shows 6 lenses with current dashboard earnings, only 1 in the top tier, 4 in the middle, and one in the bottom. Though I also must add that the squidoo affiliate earnings are dwarfed by my earnings from my own affiliate links. In august one of my lenses earned me almost $200 from the sale of one product where my earnings per customer were about $1.40
I've linked to this discussion from my lens about Chasing Lensrank. It's great to see people discussing that earnings are not dependent on having a high lensrank.

I had my very first sale just over a week ago. 62 cents!!!! Wooohoooo!!
It was second tier, but just moved up to first tier.
But, as TheBookGarden says, affiliates have been more lucrative. I set up a Zazzle shop, and have just over $7 in sales, in under a month.

I was curious of my own stats after reading this, and found 13 lenses with sale $
1 in tier #1
5 in tier #2
7 in tier #3

I was recently told by one of my companies that I'm one of the highest earners they have! "I don't know what you're doing....but keep it up"!
So with affiliate sales, squidoo module sales, and monthly adsense $ (average 20 tier #1), I'm pretty happy.

Aaaarrrgghhh!! I don't understand what any of this is about! What sales? Where in the dashboard?? I'm guessing I don't have any, but don't understand what's being sold, what tiers are, or how I would know if I had made a sale?!
Anyone who can provide yet another 'idiots guide to...' would be greatly appreciated!!

Take a look at this and read through it. ![]()
Also, when you look in your Lenses part of the dashboard, you'll see the $$$ section, which is royalties for any affiliate sales (within Squidoo). Some people also sell via their own affiliate links, such as Allposters.com, which is very good, or Commission Junction.
<edit>
The $$$ section might be called something else, because mine is setup probably different from yours. Maybe Commission or Royalties?
Also, it can take a while (a few weeks or months) to generate sales, however this IS a good time of the year to build and get your lenses up to speed. Most people are beginning to really shop now.

On your dashboard there is a column with $$$ on top. In the column you have lots of $0.00. On the lens(es) that have made sales from Amazon, ebay, etc. after a visitor clicked on a link to a product from your lens, you will get a royalty from that sale. On Amazon, even if a visitor bought a different product, if the shopping started from your lens, you get a royalty on whatever was purchased. This $$ is pending.
It took a few months before I "made a sale", so don't be discouraged.

I had a Zazzle shop first and discovered Squidoo as a way to promote the Zazzle shop. So far I only have 1 documented referral royalty on Zazzle from Squidoo, but it quadrupled my traffic to Zazzle.
Now I spend so much time writing lenses on Squidoo, that my Zazzle shop is sort of taking care of itself. I have made a lot more sales since joining Squidoo. I need to go work in my shop a little before the holidays.

All of my lenses have $0.00 next to them (in the lenses section). Does this mean I've made no sales, or is this related directly to the sales modules. If money has been made elsewhere, where do I see this amount?!
