It's 11:15am EST and still no updates
I'm pining here wondering what happened to my lenses overnight.

now really, what am I going to do different if i see the rankings? I have a to-do list for today already. soooooooo I am just curious and waiting for 2 to go green! that's all! lol funny how we get so addicted to seeing those ratings every morning!

Poddys, the lensrank updates have taken longer and happen "later" as Squidoo has grown in size. My first few months on the site, the update happened right at 11pm Pacific time and took about 5 minutes. You could practically watch it happen. In fact, I think Damon (aka boredofeducation) and I used to sit up at night and do just that.

But there were about 10,000 lenses then.

Please don't update! I had a lens that died an incredible death on Black Sunday and it revitalised itself in the last couple of days; I don't want it to die again... =/

LOL - that's how I felt last week when I had a lens in the top 100 overall. No updates for 2 days was cool with me because I just knew it would fall off as soon as it updated!

Can you believe that I hadn't even noticed that there was no update today until I saw this thread? Eeeep. I'm getting lame.

My dashboard hasn't updated but one of my lenses is in the Top 100 in Music. On the the list, it says its #99 in Music but my dashboard says its #88 in music. I think its about to update.

Year 2015: Squidoo updates for the 12,000,000,000 lenses happen at regular intervals once per year.

Updates begin promptly at 12:01am December 31st and end at 5:37pm October 2nd.

I can see OhMe going googly eyed staring at the screen, Joan4 foot tapping, Rock-The-Ice singing along with "I Don't Like Wednesdays" to the tune of Boomtown Rats I Don't Like Mondays, and a score of other people praying "Please don't update"...

Maybe some quotes along with some candid photos of lensmasters waiting for the updates would make a great lens...

Gosh, my lenses never did recover from Black Sunday. Actually I think they get worse when I tweak them, YIKES not good!

I may be losing my mind (In fact, I'd bet on it) but when I woke up at 3AM my rankings were different than they had been at 8PM Tuesday night.

I'm not so concerned about what a messy-chunky-uterus is as much as the fact that I can neither pronounce or spell it...

Think I might have to work on the lens... something different and fun...

The past 2 weeks have been about that way for me too. Updating, submitting, blah blah blah, and my stats kept going down bit by bit. Today, however, when they did update, a couple of mine took huge leaps and have rockin' awesome lensrank now. Unfortunately I have no flippin' idea why. Seriously (I'm giggling as I say this) I give up trying to figure it out! It's like looking at a roller coaster - up and down and up and down. The screaming I hear is OK, as long as bodies don't start flying off and smacking the pavement I'm good.

Yes! I meant to mention this before. I used to be a #1 lens in travel, and was in the top 100 overall lensrank for nigh on a year.

Then I suddenly began to plummet. No matter what I did I couldn't climb up. I think I'm hovering about 1020 these days. As it happens I'm really happy now. I don't feel under pressure to maintain the rankings. I'm comfortable - relaxed - and its the online equivalent of swinging on a hammock!

Besides, don't squids live deep and occasionally rise? Or is that vice versa? Does it matter?

I had a couple that were top 2k lenses that suddenly dropped to around 8-10k and never recovered. It made a resurgence towards the top 2k (around #2300) yesterday totally by random. No extra comments, no extra stars, 100 less hits a week than before Black Sunday, no extra favourites, no extra anything! I can't even see it having received multiple angel blessings and even then I don't think it would increase anywhere near that much!

Btw; the lens in question was my Mario Kart lens.

LOL! Ditto now I've seen the update. I've finally got a couple more back in the top tier! Gotta keep them there now though... =/
