Is it just me, or did your rankings absolutely plummet too?

My top lens (My Claim To Fame) was at 79 - it's now 342! It went from #4 in Entertainment to #16!

I had 7 lenses total in the top 2,000 yesterday, all regulars there, and the traffic on most of these had been going up or at least steady. Today there are 3!

I had 17 in the top 10,000, now there are 12.

Every single lens has absolutely dropped by miles, yet my overall traffic is up by a good 20% over 2 days ago.

It's a bit worrying, especially as the monthend is imminent.

So am I alone, or did your rankings go haywire too?

Very very strange INDEED!!
I just logged on and about dropped my coffee cup. I can't give you all the numbers just yet, as I haven't even compared them yet, but boy something sure happened.

My visits are steady.........and awesome. I've got 2 lenses that are getting over 1,000 visitors a week, and 1 that is getting over 2,000 visitors a week.

Come on now.............that's pretty crappy to all of a sudden, especially the last week of the month, to have stuff changing that is going to reflect on our lens ranks.

I had some very awesome ranks, with alot of it due to everyone wanting to help me with my home damage, so I was keeping track of my lenses, and planned on publishing the stats at the end of the month.

I'll come back here in a bit, just as soon as I get my current #'s, and post the differences.

most of my lenses outside the top 2000 didn;t change much, one jsut outside the top 2000 edged it's way in. My top lens though dropped right out of the top 2000 not even stopping for a cup of tea in the bottom half of the top tier. This lens had been happily floating around the top 500 and higher for a couple of months now too!
Must be a huge algorithm change or someone managed to get a lot of their midrank lenses into the top 2000!

I've seen a drop too.

I thought that Lensrank didn't get updated on Sundays. Maybe HQ have changed the algorithm.

Muahahaha! I had two lenses make it to Tier 1 today!

Well, they didn't go as high as yours were so, okay, it's not my fault. And all but one of my under 10k lenses dropped below 10k.

PageRank recently updated / became public so maybe that did something? A bunch of my lenses actually have a pagerank now. Yay!

Well all I can say, and I was worried I might have done something to upset someone, is that you are probably wondering the same thing. At least we aren't alone... And yet some lenses haven't moved hardly from the top.

I'm hoping it's an algorithm change that backfired and will be replaced - maybe the rankings will go back to normal later today or tomorrow. Otherwise, at this rate I can kiss any monthend payout I was banking on a sweet goodbye.

Oh well... Let's just say I was eager to see the rankings, but now my day is spoiled... I have no idea how to get the lenses back if this is the position they are going to stay in.

I had 2 lenses in the top 2000 and 10 in the top 10 000... I now have 3 in the top 10 000. Bloody google pagerank update, it's ruined everything! Needless to say that I am not impressed.

Precisely my question! My lensrank has plummeted, dropping my top tier lenses down the toilet, so to speak. This is very frustrating and a bit discouraging. My overall average lensrank increased by about 15,000. It's awful and can't be attributed to a minor tweak in the algorithm -- it's something else -- definitely has got to be a bug. Hey, payday ?

P.S. I think I'll have a drink today ... perhaps a BLOODY MARY?

My heart sunk this morning when I logged in and checked my dashboard. I've been so busy this week with helping my sister move and family stuff that I haven't had much extra time for Squidoo, so I knew my lenses would drop a little but eeeeekkk... I wasn't expecting anything this bad. I took a huge hit to my tier 1 lenses especially.

Is it just me, or does this seem to happen a lot at the end of the month? I was honestly expecting some lenses to boost in rank this morning.

I don't think it's google lensrank. I had a lens that improved in google but tanked here today.
I have only 2 lenses left in the top tier and 5 in the next tier. This is dismal.

Seems to be a lot of us regulars, giants and angels included who are suffering today.
I have yet to see a posting from someone who said "woohoo my lenses jumped 500 places!".

So which lenses suddenly shot up I wonder?

In entertainment the top ones are the same mostly, except mine is now #16 spot, so I am guessing it's another category, maybe SEO or something. I wonder if it's someone else pulling a stunt with spam lenses? But then it's a lot more than 1 lens that went up - it must be a lot that shot up for some reason to make the others go down.

Well I guess we will just have to wait and see what transpires...

I think it was boredofeducation that has documented a trend of visits to lenses plummeting on 1 or 2 days during the last week of the month. But, as you can see, my visits (I think anyway,) are still steady.

I am right back, and a bit worse for wear, where I started at July 1.

yes...really bad today

yesterday my 2 bottom lenses were in the 30,000s
today i have 24 lenses that low or worse...bottom lens in the 60,000s

no idea why

Oh YEA!
If you all look at your individual stats for each lens.........arrow down on the 'summary' page to look at the charts.

I'm seeing a ugly green line plummet for yesterday's and today's visits.

We can't compare traffic numbers, as we've still got today to gather visits, but I'm going to write down 'yesterday's daily visits' that you can find for your lenses, and compare them tomorrow, with what it will show when today's visits are accumulated.

Me too!

Yesterday I had 12 lenses in top tier now 7
23 lenses in 2nd tier now 20
34 lenses in 3rd tier now 15

Which means yesterday I had 69 lenses in money and today 42

Plus I have four lenses over 100,000 mark which usually only happens after a period of extreme neglect -- which this has not been

My average lensrank was 34,257 yesterday and 48,996 today

I'm wondering the same thing. Here are many who are constantly in the top tiers, so if we aren't, then who is?

I tweak every single day, yet the last few weeks, it has been in vain. I have visits, sell products, and no change in rank? I also know from those who have posted here, are the cream of the crop. And yet they are wondering what is going on as well.
Something is wrong.

Perhaps someone from HQ, can give us some insight?

I cried this morning when I saw my dashboard. I JUST NOW saw this thread, though. As non-comforting to you, FlowerGardener, as this may be. I feel better knowing if it happened to an awesome lensmaster like you, then it's not quite so awful being alone.
