Yep, rules. Read 'em. Abide by 'em. Or your sea creature powers may be revoked. Temporarily, or for good.

2. Spam: just don't do it. Thou also shalt not fill the forums with multiple threads on the same topic, sockpuppet, or link to irrelevant and non-Squidoo sites (includes signatures).
3. Thou shalt not flame, harass, denigrate, spam, malign, or otherwise finger-point and name-call at ANYONE. This one's a biggy. This too can get you banned.
4. Squidstaff love interacting with smart front-line people, so they stop by the forums from time to time to hear your ideas and share updates. However, this isn't the place to post bugs or solicit admin action. Please send those requests through our feedback link.
5. The SquidU forum is a place for users to interact, to share ideas and inspiration (and yes, gripes... maybe another lensmaster can help) and have fun with their lenses. Try searching for an answer or visiting The Answer Deck.
Does anyone else make a practice of going to the bottom of lensmaster lists and looking for lenses?
I like to see what new ones have been created for my favorite lensmasters and they're usually toward the bottom of their list. They're sort of like hidden gems.
*It would be nice if they were somehow highlighted to show that they're newly published, for the first time.
Your thoughts?

Isn't that interesting? I go to the bottom to see what their "worst" lens is like! I find it gives me an idea as to whether it's worth looking at the rest.

He He He,
I do the same thing!
I've discovered that the generic /lensmasters/flowergardener link lists my lenses in their lens rank too, so I look at the bottom of many other lensmasters.
Not necessarily 'their worst lenses', those at the bottom can also signify their brand new lenses, or lenses that aren't very old, or lenses that don't get much traffic or stars-ie-higher lens ranking (meaning 40,000 is higher than 100)

I love the bottom of the lists! I actually find the coolest stuff to read down there.

Well I know SusanVillasLewis does...she told me so in the comment section of my lowest lens once - which was enough to make it rise. ![]()

Yes, yes, I do. :-)
Actually, I was doing it for a very specific reason that day. Fun? Curiosity? Don't remember. I know it's interesting to me to see where people's worst lenses fall. I have 11 right now with rankings below 100,000 and I understand exactly why each and every one of them is down there. Sometimes seeing what my favorite lensmasters have in their basement makes me feel better about my own.

I go to the bottom too, I like to give their bottom lenses a boost, also that is usually where I find good topics ![]()

If it's someone I don't know, I usually start at the top.
If their top lens is awful and really spammy and not worth looking at, I very often don't get to any others.
With friends, I will indeed hunt down much lower, since I have already seen their top lenses.
I like to play a Stumble game. I view a lens, see either who has commented or who has Favorited that lens, and if there is anyone that I don't reconize, I click on them and visit their lenses. Then, having found a lens or 2 (and sometimes 3 or more - depends on quality), I repeat the process, clicking on someone else that I don't recognize.
Actually, the neatest way to do this is to right click on a person and open another tab on the browser. That way you can keep browsing the current lensmaster/lens and click on miltiple lensmasters you don't know.
Only drawback is that you can end up with a dozen or more tabs open and at some point you have to call a halt...
What I do then sometimes, is power down the laptop with Firefox still open.
When I boot up again and go to open Firefox, it asks me if I want to restore my session.
If I select that option, it re-opens all the tabs - lovely ![]()
Of course you can't do that with MSIE - at least I don't think so...
PS: It works on FF2...

Very interesting idea. I'm going to try this!

Oh yes! Poddys is right - just stumbling around is a lot of fun!!
I like to visit people's profile pages and click on interesting avatars in their fans list. I've found some awesome stuff that way and people who share similar interests to mine - all by chance!

Yup, I scroll down to check out lenses at the bottom too. You can find some interesting stuff down there. Plus I like it when someone finds one of my low performing lenses so why not do the same for others.
Totally agree with poddys...if the first few lenses look spammy, I'm outta there.

I too am one who looks at the bottom of the list for topics that interest me. I like that I might be the first to rate a new lens, or help a neglected lens to become more popular.

I didn't but I will do now! ![]()

Sometimes an interesting discussion can inspire me to create another lens:
JustBon's Bottom Twenty Squidoo Lenses
Thanks for the inspiration, guys!
