Mist drifted across the beach. Watson shivered. Was that a squelching noise he'd heard?  "What have you found there, Holmes?"

"Watson, look at this." The super-sleuth pointed to a strange word scrawled on a rock.

"Plexo," Watson read, mystified. "What does that mean?"

"An interactive list, Watson," Holmes said impatiently. "Nevermind that. What is it written in?"

"Ink?"

"Squid ink, Watson. This was made by a squid-- and a sizable one too!"

Welcome to the Giant Squid Scavenger Hunt!

To celebrate our new Giant Squids, I'd like to launch a forum trivia game!

Here's how it works.

1. Someone posts a CLUE -- which may be a trivia question, riddle, or even a graphic -- referring to something found on a Giant Squid lens (yours, or someone else's). Don't get too obscure -- the answer should be the lens topic or at least something mentioned in multiple modules.

2. People post their guess, which must include a link to a lens where the answer is found. If you don't know the answer, you may still guess: provide a funny answer, the more outrageous the better, with a link that (sort of) backs up your response! Any link posted must be to a Giant Squid lens.

3. If the answer is on your own lens, sit out this round, or, even better, make up a funny wrong answer and share the link love.

4. The person who posed the current CLUE must check the board (at least) once a day, and... 
    a. Name whoever got the right answer (and LINK) first-- it is then his/her turn to post the next CLUE.
    b. If no one is close, post a hint.
    c. If no one has it after 3 days, give the correct answer (with link), then pick the person with the most amusing wrong answer to post the new CLUE.

5. If the current CLUE-maker doesn't post for over 24 hours (or doesn't post within a day of being named by the last CLUE-maker), anyone may post a new CLUE. If more than one new CLUE gets posted, answer the first one.
