Linking To Another Module Within My Lens

Hello!
I want to link to my Guestbook and Polls from my Intro Module.  So I went to SquidU to find out how to do this.  (http://www.squidu.com/Learning_Library/ … ual-module) It is mentioned, but there are no instructions.  anyone have any ideas?

Also, is there a way to create a hyperlink to my website in the Intro Module?  Kimberly has great instructions for how to do this in the Write Module on her lenses (http://www.squidoo.com/dosquidoo/), but I can't find them for the Intro Module.

Thanks top anyone who can help on these two questions!

Cheers!

Re: Linking To Another Module Within My Lens

Edie, you use the same code.  When you edit your intro module, click on "edit" on the far right of the teeny tiny row of icons that shows under the text entry field.  This will create a popup window where you can view and insert your HTML.

I haven't tried it yet, but to get the direct-link module code, right click on the module you want to link to from the "Lens Content" list in the right bar.

Hope that's what you're looking for!

Re: Linking To Another Module Within My Lens

On the right side of your lens, there's a link that says "Lens Contents". Click that so it expands, then take a look at the links it shows (there should be one for each module on the lens). When you see the module you want, right click on the link and click Copy Shortcut. The link will be copied to your clipboard, and you can paste it into another module.

As for putting text in the intro and write modules (the procedure is the same), check out http://www.squidoo.com/dosquidoo/#module1584029

Re: Linking To Another Module Within My Lens

Neither of these are working for me! http://www.squidoo.com/Labradoodle-Dog/  (I left the HTML code there so you could see what it looks like.) And when I right click over the Module link, I do not get anything that says 'Copy Shortcut'.  I get 'Copy' but when I paste it, it doesn't workl  I also tried using the HTML code mentioned above, but that didn't work either.

Is it becasue I am working in Mozilla?  I tried working in IE and didn't have any success there either.

I am a serious computer newbie, so any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Linking To Another Module Within My Lens

Edie, depending on what browser, OS you have it might say Copy Link Location, or something similar.  If that doesn't work, click on the link you want from your Lens Contents list, then go up to your address bar and copy the link from there.

If you just type the HTML in the field it will show up as such in your intro module.  You have to click on the HTML link as shown here: http://www.k23enterprises.com/squidoo/introhtml.gif to edit the HTML.  If you are still doing that and it still shows up as HTML, file a bug report.

OR, type what you want to show up as a link, click the icon that looks like a link, and you'll get a window where you can insert a link.  That will create your hyperlinked words.

Re: Linking To Another Module Within My Lens

Hi Kim!

Well, I went to your lens http://www.squidoo.com/dosquidoo/ and saw the new Module you added - it is great!  I was able to successfully link both my polls and my guestbook in my Intro Module.

I am still not able to get this to link out to my webstie.  When I use the same process I used for the polls and guestbook, it does not creat the link.  What I get is a notice that there are no lens called "www.discoveringlabradoodles.com".

Any suggestions?

Thank you again and again for all your wonderful help!!

Cheers!
