Squidoo: What is your top traffic tip for lensmasters?
Grace from Handbags: Deals and Steals says:
I am an active member in the Purse Blog Forum, and I've been given permission by the forum mods to post about my lens there. The forum members *love* my lens, and check it out daily for all the great eBay (authentic designer) handbag deals and steals that I post. Drive traffic by posting to specialized user forums!
Jim from Juicy Couture Handbags says:
I would recommend that lensmasters start using the new traffic stats feature to find out which keywords people are using to find their lens and add those terms to your tags which you can do with just one click.
Janet from Pimp Your Ride with These Cool Car Accessories says:
Find search terms related to your lens topic that are searched often and use them as tags. Be sure to have these terms within your lens content as well. It is better to use searches that are not the most competitive. Also, be sure to evaluate these tags regularly to see how you are ranking.
Christine from Weight Watchers Points Calculator says:
I don't advertise to get traffic, I just try to use a highly searched keyword phrase in my title and ad lots of tags relevant to the topic - Squidoo does the rest. :)
Leslie from Towel Animals & Towel Origami says:
The ultimate goal is for searchers to find me and recognize
me as an expert in folding towel animals (which I am!). It all starts when a searcher looks for my keywords on
Google. ...they're whisked away to my Squidoo lens where they find the free video and lots of other neat stuff related to their interest.
Atle from Weber's New 2007 Gas Grills says:
Don't bother wasting any time promoting a lens your not 100% proud of. Traffic does not mean it will convert. My profits...come from the handful of lenses I put the most work into. The key is to build confidence and pre-sell.
Larry from Fast Cash without a Payday Loan says:
I simply try to stay focused on my niche, helping people avoid online payday loans.
Casey from Coach Handbag says:
Keyword research. You have to know what words people are using to find your product or information. If you not using the same words people use to search for your product or information, then it's like not speaking the same language and you won't be found. Search engines seem to love Squidoo as much as I do, so once you start speaking the same language as those looking for what you have to offer, you'll start getting traffic to your lens.
Shar from Antique French Glass says:
If an Internet visitor finds one of my lens on a search engine, and decided to visit? I want them to be please, and hopefully find just what they were looking for. If my content is relevant the visitor may take time to browse, and enjoy the lens, and all the information I have provided on their subject of interest. With luck, they will be pleased with the lens, and have a look at what's listed for sale. Ultimately being comfortable enough to make a purchase from one of my Squidoo affiliates.
Darnell from Fitness Weight Loss Program says:
I give them some information that they do not know that's related to my expertise in fitness. This can help create the WOW factor. Make sure you do your research, that it is truthful, and useful to what the public or followers want to know.
