Destination: Groovy Old Lady

This week Squidoo interviews GroovyOldLady, lensmaster of Procrastination Destination and several other more productive lenses.
Squidoo: Hello Groovy Old Lady! What compelled you to try Squidoo?
Groovy Old Lady: A friend of mine on the Writer's Weekly forum is big into marketing her writing expertise. She ran a series of posts on making money through affiliates. Initially I thought "OOooooo, money!" so I threw out a couple of lenses. But I have nothing that even remotely resembles a business brain, so I've made 20ยข so far. Hey it's better than nothing! Now I mostly Squidoo to have fun. If I make money, that's just peachy, but it's not the main focus. My hubby makes a decent living as a nurse, so I don't NEED to make money, per se. (Although it would be nice...)
Squidoo: You have a lot of hobbies. Will we get to see any future lenses on these?
Groovy Old Lady: I'm hoping to expand my homeschooling lenses and do something with cake decorating. I might push out a lens on Worship Music, and I am working on one now for low-tech idiots like myself.
Squidoo: You're very active on the SquidU forums. What do you think of the peer coaching that goes on there?
Groovy Old Lady:That's the main reason I go there. Where else could I ask really stupid questions and get quick, kind, and concise answers to important life dillemas like, "What's THIS button do?"
Squidoo: What's your single favorite thing about Squidoo? FEEDBACK.
Groovy Old Lady:Knowing people are coming to my lenses and having fun or learning things.
Squidoo: What one piece of advice would you give to prospective lensmasters?
Groovy Old Lady: Read the Squid-U forum posts FIRST, then look over several lenses before you dive in. This will give you a feel for what you're getting into. Lenses take time and they're not likely to earn you any serious money or traffic unless you know how to integrate them with your business' web presence.
