Amazon Module

Basics: This module helps lensmasters feature related books in a lens -- and make money through resulting affiliate sales.

Purpose: To feature related books and other products within the context of a lens.

Description: Kind of a cross between a link list and a photo module, the Amazon module allows lensmasters to create automatically updated lists of books related to their topic -- or lists of specific books they want to recommend. Lensmasters control what information about the book is presented and will be able to share in the money made via affiliate sales. For topics that have related books, DVDs, records, and other products such as consumer electronics and other tools, the Amazon module can be used to meet many different needs.

How to Use:

1. While in a lens's workshop, click on the Add a Module button.

2. Expand the Top Money-Making Modules.

3. Next to the Amazon Module, click on the Add button.

4. Hit the Continue button.

5. Scroll to find the newly added Amazon module, and click on the Edit button

6. Select the Change link to the right of the placeholding module title to change the title. You can also add a subtitle and a description for the module by selecting those respective links.

7. There are two ways to use the Amazon module:

7a. Let Amazon Pick

Indicate what product type you want featured in the module. Then choose which of your lens's tags you'd like to use to search Amazon's inventory, or add your own. You can also indicate how many books to include.

7b. Let Me Pick

Paste in a number of ISBN or ASIN numbers -- one per line -- to individually pick what books are displayed. You can also use the Help Me Find Products link to bring up a useful Amazon search wizard.

8. With both approaches, selecting the See Display Options link or going to the Display Options tab will help you indicate which details(title, author, publication date, and so on) to include in your book listing.

9. When you're done, click on the Save button.
