What is SquidWho?
Are you into Elvis, Brittany, or Benifer? How about your aunt Susan, masseuse Megan, or favorite hometown band? Famous or not, Squidoo is all about people, and our new SquidWho project is putting the spotlight on people who matter to you.
SquidWho works just like Squidoo - we just give you a jumpstart. When you do a search for someone who isn't yet in our database, we'll generate a new lens shell for you with info from Wikipedia, Yahoo! news, and Amazon.com. Then you can add links, the top reasons you love them, and anything else your heart desires to create a one-stop fan page for the person of your choice. So what if the person of your choice isn't an international star?
Squidoo knows you don't have to be famous to be important, but being important just might help make you famous! That's why SquidWho is open to any person, band, or group, from your hometown radio DJs and favorite teachers, to political figures you support and celebrities you idolize. But that's not all.
Squidoo is also about being at your best, so when you do a search for your favorite rock star or cousin, you'll automatically go to the best lens. Not seeing YOUR lens as the top lens? Add some more modules, dig up some great trivia, and beef up the links. You might just make it to the top and become famous in your own right!
Just a note - SquidWho is special for people. You can still make your favorite lenses about animals, minerals, and vegetables at good ole' Squidoo.com.

Questions from lensmasters
Q: What exactly is the criteria for "best" lens that shows up first in a search?
A: Lensrank. If there are two lenses on Jim Carrey, the one that is ranked higher in Lensrank will show up in your search.
