Managing your Money Preferences
Ah, money. For yourself or charity. It's one of the reasons we love Squidoo. You get to be a master in your niche, AND you can make a nice reward.

Money never comes without a few management needs, and Squidoo offers many ways to manage your commissions:

  1. Commissions are paid out once per month and only via PayPal. (See our FAQ #25 for more details on PayPal.)
  2. Commissions are paid out once your total exceeds the minimum threshold set in your preferences. To see what this is and change it, log in to your account, click on the "My Profile" tab at the top of your Dashboard. These options are under "Payment Settings." (Learn more about the My Profile tab here.)
  3. Commissions for month one are paid in month three. So anything you earn in January will be paid in March.
  4. You can choose to send your lens commissions to a charity of your choice. Simply go to the edit page of your lens, and change the charity in the drop down menu in the right column.
  5. If your charity of choice isn't listed, and they will accept donations via PayPal, they can sign up here.
  6. If your charity of choice isn't listed, and they won't accept donations via PayPal, you can still collect the cash and send it to them directly.

Please note that there are two places where you may need to look for setting cash and charity preferences. There is a default setting in your preferences that will allow you to set all your lenses (except special ones made through some front doors such as SquidLit) to one setting - cash or a specific charity. On each lens there is also a setting where you can tweak your directives. So if you set all yours to go to cash, and one is sending to charity, check your lenses to find out if one is set to send to a charity.

Sorry, once payment is processed we cannot change your directives. This may happen several days before you actually see your payment, so make sure you have your settings the way you want them each time you publish a lens. Thanks!
